Hot Lemon Ginger, your healthiest wake up call.

It is spring and let’s be honest: it is the time of the year that we are having a closer look, from the outside, at ourselves.

The marketing industry knows this better than anybody else. Result: we are bombarded with commercials, advertisings and promotions. Promising products that will make us look slimmer, tighter and bright.

And I admit, some of them are so convincing that it is hard not to believe what they are telling you.

Myself I do believe in this simple but magic potion: ” Hot Lemon Ginger”.

It is my favorite drink to start the day and for good reasons.

Lemon is a natural detoxifier and gives you a boost of Vitamin C, which has antioxidant properties.

Ginger is known for his anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Besides that it also promotes a better digestion.And last but not least, it gives you energy.

What do you need, very simple:

–  fresh juice of one lemon

–  a  mug of hot water

– 1/2 a inch knob of ginger root peeled, grate the ginger by using a zester

– optional: to make it more tasty, you can add a spoon of honey or agave sirup

First thing in the morning, drinking a Hot Lemon Ginger, is a good start for your detox plan.;-)
